After a 15-year career in arts administration, Hauser created Blue Sky Thinking to provide management consulting to non profits. Since 2001 she has worked with more than 50 clients: the Animal Humane Society merger, the reinvention of Springboard for the Arts, the transition of Inscite to High Tech Kids, and many other turnaround efforts.

In 2009, she expanded Blue Sky Thinking to include the Idea Factory (creative events for women). Idea Factory’s signature event is the “Ultimate Pajama Party”—an annual slumber party for adult women that will launch in six other cities over the next three years. By combining the creative efforts of Idea Factory with the expertise of a team of skilled nonprofit consultants, Blue Sky Thinking has grown into a sought-after boutique agency that helps organizations to creatively refine, reposition, or reinvent themselves.

In her spare time, Hauser was the founding board chair for TU Dance and served on the Jungle Theater board of directors. With her husband, she is still actively involved in supporting both organizations.
