The economic crisis of 2008 was detrimental to many employees and employers, and few companies have weathered the storm as well as Golden Valley-based Allianz Life. At the helm is Gary C. Bhojwani, who has led the company through significant changes and challenges with his vision, planning, and creative management.

Bhojwani lead the creation of an industry-leading suitability program that is now mandatory nationwide for all company fixed annuity and fixed index annuity sales, and it has been recognized by regulators and association leaders. Suitability standards for Allianz exceed the law in most states.

The results are telling: Even with a major product suspension for five months in 2009, the company's employee optimism rating has been 95 percent or higher, based on the monthly surveys conducted during the last 12 months.
