HealthEast Medical Transportation’s new headquarters is a one-story building housing 120 workers and 50 ambulances, as well as training facilities. The facility accommodates indoor parking for its ambulance fleet, service bays for vehicle maintenance, administration offices, training areas, and crew quarters. Due to the site’s history of soil contaminants, a vapor mitigation system was installed under the concrete floor. Located in an industrial neighborhood, the building features burnished blocks and brick veneer exterior finishes to blend into the surrounding area. High-performance electrical and HVAC systems and integrated natural lighting strategies make the facility energy efficient.
