The National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) Minnesota chapter—the third largest of the 55 national chapters—has been busy collecting and granting honors. Larry Pobuda, a Minnesota chapter member, has been named the National NAIOP Chair Elect for 2009 and will be the National NAIOP Chair in 2010. And the Minnesota chapter, with 17,500 members, has won NAIOP Chapter of the Year three times.
For its annual competition, the organization has chosen 13 commercial projects to honor. A panel of 21 judges toured the nominated projects in October and evaluated each building on site development and landscaping, architectural integrity, interior design, integration into the community, market feasibility, and unique project challenges. The winning properties, which were completed in 2008, are shown on the following pages.
