A half-day launch event created for people entering into a year-long professional mentoring program, and for alumni from past programs, served  as an introduction for participants and a marketing tool  for the client celebrating its 15th anniversary. Guests met their mentoring partners for the first time at the event, and the company wanted to excite new participants in the program and returning program alumni and set the stage for effective networking.

Saturated color and graphic design branded the event on invitations, event material, signage, and videos and tied the various elements of the event together. Forty, seven-foot, custom-programmed, LED lamps with logos on the shades served as table centerpieces and changed colors to match the color palette of each portion of the event. The lamps worked in tandem with one of the event videos; as key messages about the 15th anniversary and the “network of professionals” appeared on screen, the lamps lit one-by-one from the center of the room out towards the edges.

By way of a theme, the event posed a question to guests: What’s your story? The theme brought together the ideas of telling the 15-year story of the company, the new chapter beginning for new program participants, and recounting the experiences of alumni. The story theme was used in invitations and in videos throughout the day as guests were told, “Your story starts here.”
