Two Minnesotans and one Minnesota company are being recognized by the International Leadership Institute, a Minneapolis-based nonprofit that seeks to facilitate interaction in world affairs and foster intercultural communication among Minnesotans, international organizations, and people in other countries.

Each year, the institute presents the Twin Cities International Citizen Awards in three categories: the International Corporate Award celebrates a local company's international efforts; the International Immigrant Award goes to foreign-born Minnesotans who've contributed to global understanding; and the International Citizen Award, which recognizes achievements of a United States-born Minnesotan. Any Minnesotan can nominate honorees.
