Background:
Gorder cofounded Resistance Technologies, Inc., in 1977 after pursuing degrees in mathematics and engineering. IntriCon (then called Selas Corporation of America) acquired Resistance Technologies in 1993; seven years later, Gorder became president and COO of the entire company. After being named CEO in 2001, he streamlined IntriCon’s business to manufacturing miniature products for the medical, hearing-health, professional audio, and electrical-products industries. Its clients now include St. Jude Medical, Starkey Laboratories, and Bose.

In His Own Words:
“There are many people who are doing the kind of work we do in building larger products. But when you want small body-worn products, the ability to miniaturize all the components and put them into a completed device, that is something that we are very good at.”
