The growing Minnesota Latino population has no shortage of successful role models. For the fourth year, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Minnesota is honoring 25 innovators under the age of 40 who are blazing new trails.

Val Vargas, CEO of the Hispanic Chamber, continues to be impressed with the caliber of honorees. “This group has some really successful young people who have emigrated here from other countries,” she says. “I’m very, very proud to present them to the Minnesota business community at large.”

The “25 on the Rise” program has already made a lasting impact on the Twin Cities business community. “Through the distribution of Twin Cities Business and our Web site, people who have not heard about the [Hispanic Chamber of Commerce] or did not know much about Hispanics in Minnesota have become much more aware,” Vargas says. “We bring these role models to our events and promote them all year long through other programs and services. Many past honorees have been asked to speak at local colleges and high schools or other youth organizations.”
