One of Greater Minnesota's most-successful business operators is
Tom
Rosen, who joined his family's feed, fertilizer, and farm-chemicals
business
in 1972, two years before it bought a bankrupt beef-packing
plant in
Long
Prairie. He was named CEO of Rosen's Diversified
in 1991 and
helped expand
revenues of the Fairmont-based
company to $550 million by
1998; they have since
surpassed $2
billion. The company processes 7,000
head of cattle per day, and
its chemical and farm-fertilizer business
spans 17
states.
