This Minneapolis studio produces animations and visual effects, and just celebrated its two-year anniversary. In that short lifetime, Ployhar (left) and Robashkin have put together a roster of clients such as Home Depot, Showtime, Nike, and Honeywell, as well as locals Best Buy, Land O’ Lakes, and Target. Having gone from zero to $1 million in revenues in two years, the MAKE guys hope to make Minnesota more of a destination for high-end animations and visual effects, markets that New York and Los Angeles dominate. They’re upgrading their hardware and software to handle an increased workload as well as high-definition projects, which are becoming more prevalent as that technology becomes widespread in the TV world. MAKE currently employs six people, and it plans to add another three or four in 2007. To see what the buzz is about, check out the company’s online reel.
