Key achievements: "I feel so fortunate to work in health care—a field that has such a significant impact on the quality of peoples’ lives. But we all know that there is so much that still needs to be done to improve the health of our community. The system is not working for many struggling individuals and families. For me, success is about providing affordable, accessible health care for all. It means ending the racial and economic disparities that limit peoples’ ability to get the care and services they need. It’s about building a system that serves all health care needs—not discriminating between physical and mental health. And it means making sure people have the right care at the right time. If I can make inroads in this area, then I will know that I have made a difference."
