snatched up. However, Bruce Lenzen, owner of Bruce Lenzen Homes in Hudson, has
purchased a former estate to create a boutique neighborhood. Seven of the
development’s lots feature views of the St. Croix River valley, while the other
four adjoin Troy Burne Golf Club. “To have an acreage lot that overlooks the St.
Croix River is extremely difficult to find,” Lenzen says. “There are maybe two
other single lots that are comparable.”
Located on a private cul de sac, Cove Ridge boasts an oak savannah, dozens of birch trees, and a winding entryway that leads to the top of a hillside ridge. To the west is a nature center featuring hundreds of acres of restored prairie, trees, and walking trails. The development’s landscaping will complement the natural surroundings.
Lenzen says he will design homes that prioritize quality over quantity. “I believe this development is going to attract people who want a very nice, moderately sized home that has beautiful architecture,” he says, adding that homes will likely start at 4,500 square feet and feature multiple styles.
