The developer, Scandia-based Big Marine Lake Development, is conserving
nearly 100 acres of open space and protecting the lakeshore, pond frontage, and
wetlands. Landsted Homes will create moderately sized, energy-efficient homes in
prairie and craftsman styles that feature natural materials.
The wooded setting includes Big Marine Lake, which offers a marina with private slips and a boat club, and the non-motorized Rasmussen Pond.
