In Trophy Rooms, we highlight Twin Cities residential building and remodeling projects that have won awards recently. This month it’s what we’re calling “island whites”—some white-bright kitchens with large central islands. Between cabinets, appliances, backsplashes, and countertops, kitchens can be visually chaotic. Light-hued cabinets have a bright but calming effect. We like these white-yet-warm designs that bring to mind soothing hearth and home.
