• After closing D’Amico Cucina in late June after 22 years, D’Amico & Partners has taken over food and beverage service at the Chambers Minneapolis hotel, replacing Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Culinary Concepts.
• Phil Roberts still believes in Calhoun Square under its new ownership. His Parasole Restaurant Holdings will redesign its Figlio space in the mall to open under a new name in September, and it will open a second restaurant in Calhoun Square’s expansion space next summer.
• Sea Change, Tim McKee’s remake of the Guthrie Theater’s Cue, planned a late July opening with a menu centered on sustainably harvested seafood.
• A busy summer for McKee and partners: They’ve also opened a second location of their Nicollet Mall tequila bar Barrio in St. Paul’s Lowertown.
