The Punch Brothers may be named after a Mark Twain short story, but they’re no joke. Anchored by world-class mandolinist Chris Thile of the band Nickel Creek the Punch Brothers are probably the most dynamic bluegrass/folk/acoustic group in the country at the moment. These guys are musician’s musicians who have a healthy respect for tradition, but are in no way bound by it.
