Majority owner Bob Naegele, Jr., can still play a mean goaltender in senior amateur hockey, and his ties to Minnesota’s hockey roots show at the Xcel Energy Center on game nights, beginning with a display around the concourse of jerseys from nearly every high-school hockey team in the state and continuing with an entirely user-friendly experience for fans. After five seasons, only two of which have resulted in playoff positions, no Wild game has ever attracted fewer than 18,064 fans—the capacity of the arena.
