Eight years after selling his Burnet Financial Group, including his highly successful real estate business Coldwell Banker Burnet (he’s still chairman), 61-year-old Burnet shows no signs of retiring. This year, he opened NBA City, a basketball-themed restaurant at the Target Center. Soon, he’ll open the high-style Chambers Hotel on Hennepin Avenue. He’s also working with Foshay Tower co-owners Basant Kharbanda and Minneapolis commercial real estate developer Ryan Companies on a proposal to turn the tower into a hotel. Next, we predict he’ll open a museum to house the parts of his extensive art collection that aren’t installed at the Chambers.
