Jay Novak has been publisher and editor of Twin Cities Business since February 2001 after having been Minnesota’s commissioner of economic development and senior vice president of a Minnesota-based investment banking company. He was founding editor of Twin Cities Business from 1993 through 1995. He has also been director of communications at General Mills; press secretary for a U.S. senator; and has spent many years serving the editorial staff of several publications.
Denise Logeland

Denise Logeland has been the magazine's managing editor since 2000. As managing editor, Denise works on feature stories and manages the Starters department. Prior to joining the magazine, she was editor of a client publication in the Custom Publishing division of MSP Communications, a freelance writer, and a manager of communications and services for a grain industry association.
Gene Rebeck

Gene Rebeck is senior editor at Twin Cities Business magazine, a position he has held since 1999. As senior editor, Gene works on feature stories and manages the magazine's Spotlight department. His writing work has won several awards from the Minnesota Magazine Publishers Association and the American Society of Regional Business Publications. Before joining TCB, he was editorial director for a St. Paul trade publisher, as well as a freelance business and travel writer.
Mary Connor

Mary Connor has been special-sections editor for Twin Cities Business since April 2005. She's responsible for planning and editing the Special Focus sections in each issue. Previously, Mary edited a monthly magazine for the industrial fabrics industry and worked in administration for both the University of Minnesota and a large environmental advocacy organization.
Christa Meland

Christa Meland became research director for Twin Cities Business in January 2008. She is responsible for the development, research, and editorial aspects of all TCB ancillary projects, including lists and supplements. She also oversees editorial initiatives for the Web site. Prior to joining the staff, she was a reporter at a Wyoming newspaper and an editorial intern for TCB, both after earning a journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Melissa Loth
Assistant Editor, Research

Melissa Loth became assistant editor for Twin Cities Business in fall 2008. She helps with the research and editorial aspects of TCB ancillary projects, including lists and supplements. Prior to joining the staff, she was an editorial intern and then a research assistant for TCB after earning dual degrees in journalism and Spanish from the University of St. Thomas.

Jake Anderson became assistant editor for Twin Cities Business in March 2010. He is responsible for managing Web content and production of the bi-weekly Briefcase e-newsletter. Prior to joining the staff, he was an editorial intern for TCB. He's a graduate of the University of Minnesota.
