Illuminate Solutions, which offers correlation databases management technology for automatically designing and building date warehouses and data marts, has appointed Karen Giles Kingsbury director of global alliance operations. Her record includes developing and managing an operation that handled the growth of a sales team from 10 to 200 in a one-year period, representing revenue growth from $10 million to $55 million.

The CHS Foundation, the major giving entity of CHS Inc. (formerly Cenex Harvest States), has named Jessie Frank community relations specialist. Frank comes to the foundation from Macy’s North/Marshall Field’s, where she worked as an editorial specialist and community relations coordinator.

Susan S. Boren, who heads the Minneapolis/St. Paul office of leading executive search consulting firm Spencer Stuart, has been elected to the firm’s board of directors.

Aaron F. Biber of the Gray Plant Mooty law firm has been elected to serve as the 2008-09 secretary of the Minnesota State Bar Association. Following his term as secretary, Biber will serve for a year each as treasurer, president-elect, and president of the association. Biber is a principal at Gray Plant Mooty's litigation practice group.

The private asset-management firm Lowry Hill has named Thomas Gunderson an investment principal in its Minneapolis office. Gunderson will co-lead the form’s large-cap growth equity strategy.
