Brooklyn Park-based cosmetology school Regency Beauty Institute on Tuesday said that it will open its fifth school in Indiana.
The school, which will be located in a shopping center in Indianapolis, is scheduled to open in April.
Regency said that it will need to hire licensed cosmetologists and cosmetology instructors to staff the school.
“We’re very excited to offer students in Indianapolis another convenient location to help them launch successful careers in the beauty industry,” Regency CEO Hayes Batson said in a statement. “There’s great demand nationwide for well-trained cosmetology professionals.”
Regency owns and operates more than 60 cosmology schools nationwide. The company was originally named Maxim’s Beauty Academy but changed its name to Regency Beauty Academy in the 1980s and later to Regency Beauty Institute.
